Yesterday Susan and Hayden and I went to the Audobon Zoo with her parents. We had a great time. When we got there we had a little issue and found out Hayden was allregic to Winn Dixie Sunscreen for babies. That was a frantic time, Hayden was upset, we were all upset. Anyway, on the way to the zoo Hayden starts singing this song. Susan and I have been so blessed by her, she loves to sing ALL the time and loves to get up on stage at church and perfrom all at just 19 months old. So, in the car yesterday she starts singing "I wuve You, I wuve you me sa fee wa see sa me." It was the sweetest thing, I am not sure where she heard the song but, it was the most beuatiful sound I have ever heard. I'll try and port some zoo pictures later. On the way home we stopped at Cafe Du Monde and got some beignets. It isn't legal to go through the french quarter and not pick up beignets. I am now fatter for the trip.
Added - We got all of the sunscreen off of Hayden and then I bought some Panama Jack sinscreen from the gift shop it worked great and my sweet trooper had a great day! Better than her Dad I might add.

since she is your kid, can you decipher that last part of the line "sa fee wa see sa me"?
so what did you do about the allergic reaction with the sunscreen?
we had a good time at "the island" this weekend. it was a great time, but the fireworks did not live up to their reputation in d1's eyes. a lot of people were leaving with a bad taste in their mouths concerning the thing.
all in all i would say that the weekend was great. i got to spend the weekend with my family and did nothing in the yard, and i got comments on my blog.

I'm with you guys I am betting it is a variation of a Barney tune, but that's what we got. And as a very concientious father I would never knowingly let her hear or see Barney ;-), so I don't know where she would have heard it, surprised though? Nope. That's my girl.

so sweet, I love to hear children singing, especially the wee ones
we have some video of our daughter putting her one her dolls or a stuffed animal, can't remember which, to bed one night, she was sitting in the rocker, holding it the same way I would hold her and singing the same songs to it, so precious!
I hope you guys are evacuated or something, just saw on the news that Dennis is headed straight for you. Yikes!

CL,
It's great to hear that your little one likes to sing. My little girl just turned two, and hams it up all the time. She tries to sing "Jesus Loves me." It is adorable. I hope you were ya'll safe with the recent storms and all.
By the way, are you planning on going to NCYM this year in Nashville, TN?
