Susan and I have had family of some sort here since Thursday before Easter. They all have just left. Someone once told me that family is like fish; it's great for the first couple of days, but after that it starts to stink a little bit.
I don't actually feel that way about my family. I really live it when they are all here with us. They are all great people. I am thankful that all of my family goes to great lengths to get along with each other. That's not to say that we're not real with each other, but I am proud of the fact that we always try to put each other first. It's really cool!
Easter was great this year, Hayden had a blast! We have one of those families where both sides think that the kids should get gifts for Easter, not just a basket or a new dress, but something cool to play with - kind of like Christmas. It's neat, but I don;t want Hayden thinking that every time a holiday of any kind comes around, she should have a present. It's challenging to bring that balance home and to life in a two year olds mind. Onward...
Blogger isn't letting me upload pictures today, I'll try that later...
A little before Easter Susan and I bought Hayden
"resurrection Eggs" she loved them.. She has played with them and read the story again and again. Now I am not a huge fan of church marketing and these seem, at first glance to be a ploy, but I actually think they have value in an experiential way for Hayden to learn about the cross of Jesus.
On another not, I had to get new glasses today. That has to be the most expensive thing in the world. Ohhhhh, Ouch on the pocketbook!!!
Lot's of things going on, on the creamed corn front, I will post soon, I have a busy week ahead as our teens prepare to do the
famine.
May God fill your week with blessings and a clearer understanding of who He is!!

Hey Chris
Good to hear from you. We did resurection eggs on Easter...all our church service was based around them. For class, the kids did a hunt finding one of each color, and all the other classes were just out there with them. Then, the sermon was kind of based around them. It was good -- Buddy pulled it off.
We just got back from a retreat - it went great.
Talk to you later man.
