5:41 PMLike a cow on the farm...
I've been tagged. So, I will update about the "Mystery Trip" later, which was awesome by the way. But in the meantime, here goes...

Book Tag

1. How many books have I owned?

Hi my name is Chris and I am a bookaholic. I own over 1500 books, the amazing thing is I am not sure how I got there. It just kind of crept up on me. Actually, everytime I go on Amazon for something other than books I buy books, when I go to the Christian bookstore I buy books, even when I am not shopping for them for my library. There it's out there. I need help.

2. What was the last book you bought?

"In The Name of Jesus" by Henri Nouwen

3. What was the last book you read?

"Following Jesus" by N.T. Wright, "The Challenge of Jesus" by N.T. Wright, "The Present Future" by Reggie McNeal, "The Last Word and The Word After That" by Brian McLaren and the aformentioned.

4. What are FIVE books that have meant a lot to you?

The Jesus Proposal by John York and Rubel Shelly
The Divine Conspiracy by Dallas Willard
Celebration of Disciplines by Richard Foster
PostModern Pilgrims by Len Sweet
A Church That Flies by Tim Woodruff
The Jesus I Never Knew by Phillip Yancey

So many books have meant so much to me. It is really hard to break it down but these have had a pretty profound impact on me, and I am thankful for them. I am constantly reading a lot of books at one time. It's kind of a bad habit, it's just what happens.

yeah, the trip is still a mystery to me, even though my daughter went with you. she just gives me the smallest amount of information she can to aswer the question. so if you don't mind share with us what you did and where you went.

i don't really know how we are to report back to you to let you know how we answered our questions, but his is what i put on my blog:

book tag

1. how many books have i owned?

i would have to say maybe 7 at the most. most of the books in my house are owned/bought by my wife, so i don't "own" many books of my own. don't get me wrong, i do like to read, but i read rather slowly. i also like to stick to a few authors. however, i do take suggestions from friends.

2. what was the last book you bought?

it was actually "come thirsty" by max lucado, and "in the grip of grace" by max lucado was free with the purchase of "come thirsty." (i still need to read "come thirsty")

3. what was the last book you read?

"a church that flies" by tim woodruff

4. what are FIVE books that have meant a lot to you?

"the case for Christ" by lee strobel
"in the grip of grace" by max lucado
"hunt for red october" by tom clancy
"distant voices" by c. leonard allen
"romans" by paul
"luke" by dr. luke

Thanks, Chris. I buy your lunch the first time we meet, then you do this to me....

You bought his lunch too? I thought I was special.

humph.

Donna tagged me while I was away one week and I thought I'd get away with missing this one. I will work on it though.

Can I answer the questions in a comment? Do I have to be tagged to play? I love to talk about books. I love to buy books. Opening a box from Amazon is... I'd better not say that. I like to open a box from Amazon.
